In the month of January I’ve begun helping my mum sell plants, and of course this business is a very competitive one so I spent a lot of time thinking of how to make it unique. I had come up with a few ideas but none of them really stood but the following day I had gone to a market with my family. Asides from the glaring hot sun, I had a great time, mainly because of the inspiration I had received from seeing the various products being sold, as well as speaking to the owners of one of the stalls. After reaching home, my head was racing with ideas and subsequently I had remembered the significance of ‘combinations’. It’s one thing to sell plants, but to sell plants with a story behind it meant a lot more. My story was ‘rescued pots’ – in which I could combine plants, every-day items, as well as my interest in knitting into an entirely new business.
