Shares & Plants

In the past month, I’ve begun investing, and I’ve also started a plant business. A year ago, I would not have though that the two would have anything in common, but now I’ve come to realise the large number of similarities the two share. Similar to the stock market, the sales of plants are volatile – some days high, and other days – very low. When a share price increases, or when I sell a plant, I feel happy, but when the opposite happens I’m a bit disappointed, but as I’ve learnt, it’s important to maintain my temperament and not let my emotions be dependent on the performance of the markets, because they are always bound to change. Everyone know the large amount of time it takes for plants to grow – similarly a person requires patience if they want to witness their share increase. Both are long-term investments.
