It’s been approximately one month since I began selling my plants and this business overall has being going quite well – better than I expected in fact! Of course there are days where I don’t have many customers, or when a plant or two dies but that is bound to happen. I’ve realised within this month that I am capable of managing this business and the importance of having multiple sources of income. What surprised me the most is the fact that I’ve been able to triple the amount I’ve earned since starting this business. To most, this amount would be considered quite small, but to me it holds more significance than anything I could have earned from a 9-5 hour job. I’ve learnt that I don’t have to be limited to simply having to work for an employer to earn, and yes I was always aware of this concept but never did I think that I could actually do it- and now I have!

Since the pandemic, I’ve been struggling to find work which is why having this business has been great – It feels really good to be able to earn my own money. And despite having come so far within only a short period of time, I’m not satisfied. In the coming months, I want to expand, I want to identify more strategies of earning more money because I realise now that I am capable of doing so. And I don’t plan to stop, I’m excited to see where I’ll be next month!
