This month is the first time I’m having to manage both my university studies and working my part time job together. Initially I was doing well and was even ahead with my lectures and assignments but quickly as the weeks progressed its been harder and harder to balance the workload from university with my usual hours at my job. I’m starting to feel very stressed as all the assignments are piling together all at once, and I’ve also been getting very tired when I get back home which means the quality of my work is not as good as it usually is. My time management skills, and the use of my Google planner have also been making it easier for me to recognise the need to reduce my hours as well. Once again, it’s clear how great it is to be able to visualise how I spend my day. As a result, I’ve decided to reduce the number of hours I work per week starting from next week, and I know this will make my student life much more easier. I’m trying to achieve a balance between the two without completely leaning towards one side as I consider both of them to be very important.
