Once 2021 arrived I came to the decision that I wanted to try many of the hobbies that I’ve always had an interest in, but never begun, one of them being knitting! It’s not very common in my age group but knitting has always been something that I found to be very interesting, so when I spotted a ball of yarn and some needles in a dollar store I reached for them immediately. As soon as I arrived home, I watched various knitting tutorials before finally beginning. As with many things, at the start I struggled – I ended up with a lot of messy knots and loose ends but eventually my hands started to move on their own and by the end of the day I was comfortable with performing at least three different stitches!

In the very few first days I knitted whenever I had the chance, and it felt nice to have a finished product whilst watching my favourite shows. Knitting is only my first hobby of 2021 and I hope to find many more throughout the year.
